Being comfortable can be difficult, if the motivation to change things just isn’t there.

We’re not really in the convincing business at Restfull, because anyone we have to convince to get started in sleep just isn’t going to make it.

This is a marathon, not a sprint. This should not be a surprise.

The business we’re in is the SORTING business. We’re sorting between dentists who are OK with “good enough” and dentists who aren’t.

“Good enough” means you are comfortable. Everything could be better, but life isn’t too bad.

That’s a difficult position to be in. Mainly because the motivation to change things just isn’t there.

This is one of the biggest challenges we have at Restfull! Dentists who are comfortable enough who don’t see much of a reason for change.

What’s the smart thing to do if you’re in this kind of a situation?

You get clear on your “WHY.”

Why do you get up in the morning? What’s the reason you face the challenges of each day? What is the thing that gives you the energy to keep moving forward? What are you doing all of this for? What are you working towards achieving in your life?

Maybe you’ve thought about this, maybe you haven’t. But it’s the WHY that makes decisions much easier to make.

For example, Restfull exists because our founder had a WHY that was one word:

FREEDOM.

He wanted a life with freedom. To him, that meant working when he wanted to, doing only the procedures he wanted to do, with the patients he chose to work with.

What’s your WHY? The clearer you get, the more easily you can move towards it.

Without a clear and strong WHY, being comfortable is always “good enough.”

The thing to keep in mind is that good enough TODAY might not be good enough TOMORROW, or next year, or 10 years from now when you’re getting close to retiring.

I send out a fair amount of success stories about our Restfull members treating X number of patients per month and getting $X per appliance. Those are exciting stories.

But the real exciting part is something we don’t highlight often enough:

Success in sleep means INDEPENDENCE and CHOICE. It means a life where you get to CHOOSE how you spend your days instead of having that choice made for you because there are bills to pay.

You become immune to the pressures of the industry because you have built your practice in a way where your revenue is not 100% dependent on how many hours you are willing to work.

Imagine building a new and sizable revenue stream (with 25%-30% overhead) where you don’t even have to do the work if you don’t want to. That’s what’s available in sleep.

The important part is that you know what’s right for you and that you take action.

What’s your WHY? Is your current situation allowing you to move towards that in a way that is sustainable and enjoyable?

Depending on your goals, the price of “comfort” can be steep.

We know that sleep isn’t for everyone. But we also see, almost every day, that it is clearly the best opportunity in dentistry for living a life you love.

If you’re still thinking of coming to our next Blueprint in Austin (November 6 and 7), please contact me TODAY. After that event, we’ll be in Vegas in January!
