It might surprise you to find out…
In addition to spending a lot of time talking to doctors across the country about how to build success in sleep, I also spend a fair amount of time talking to their husbands and wives.
It’s easy to get excited about dental sleep medicine when you’re stuck in the daily grind of traditional dentistry.
So when a doctor comes to a Dental Sleep Blueprint event, they generally go home pretty excited about their future. And I’m sure it all sounds too good to be true when you’re looking in from the outside.
And that’s often when I find myself on the phone giving a mini “Blueprint Session” to the doctor’s husband or wife. I walk them through the system and explain how it works. I do my best to show them that, while this might sound too good to be true, it isn’t.
I can understand their skepticism. And I know that all they really want is what’s best for the person they love.
An opportunity that a dentist could use to break free from the confines of the traditional dental model probably sounds like fantasy land on first hearing.
What we do here is not fantasy. It is systematic. It is a process. If you do the process, you win. If you talk about the process, think about the process, criticize the process or just look at the process without actually DOING the process, nothing much happens.
Success in traditional dentistry is a challenging road.
Success as a dentist in sleep is completely different.
You can build a business serving patients and reap rewards far in excess of what is possible in dentistry. And you can do it without spending your entire life at the office.
